Best Online Productivity Tools to Improve Your Habits & Workflow:

In this conversation, I’m joined by Kryštof Ekl, productivity coach and Notion Consultant. We explore in which way productivity  tools can be helpful and how to use them most efficiently.

Kryštof has tried many different online productivity tools with aim to improve productivity and he has some good insights. The bottom line is that productivity tools obviously won’t do the work for you but the right tools can make it significantly easier.

What is Notion?

Notion is a flexible workspace for note-taking, task management, and workflow organization (Notion guides). It can be customized for various use cases, including CRM (Customer Relationship Management). 

Never tried Notion before?Kryštof’s advice is simple: Just sign up and start playing around with it. Notion is a huge tool with tons of possibilities, so watching YouTube tutorials can help speed up the learning process.

Can learning a new online productivity tool be a way of procrastination?


Absolutely! It’s easy to feel like you’re being productive when really, you’re just spending hours customizing dashboards or tweaking settings.

Therefore you can set some boundaries before hand before you start using a new tool to help you stay on track:

  •  Set a goal – Why are you using this tool? What do you want to get out of it?

  • Learn from others – for example read Reddit disussions or by watching Youtube videos
Can you use online productivity tools for building better habits?

Yes, but only if you actually use them consistently. Tools like Notion have habit trackers, and you can set reminders to help you stick to your goals. But at the end of the day, habit change takes time—there’s no magic shortcut.

What is most important when it comes to a successful habit change is to simply try repeatedly without giving up.

Can a coach help with finding the right productivity tools for you?

Yes—but it depends on your situation.

Figuring out the right tools on your own is totally possible, but it almost always takes a lot more time.

A good mentor can point you in the right direction within 1 hour instead of you spending 9 months figuring it out on your own. 

How to find a mentor or a coach?

There are in fact many different ways of getting yourself a coach besides simply hiring one.

If you want guidance but don’t want to hire a coach, you can:

  • Barter skills with friends or acquaintances
  • Find free or paid mentors on coaching platforms

 

Without action there won’t be any change!
